The scope of this project was to create a functional and comfortable outdoor living space. The previous front porch was beginning to degrade, and the overall goal was to create something fun and new that looks as though it had always been a part of the home. Originally, we had intended to include a pop of coral color in the diamonds of the tile floor and a matching front door; however, unbeknownst to our tile dealer, the tile had been discontinued. We reselected mid construction and decided to match the border tiles with the diamonds. Subsequently, the front door was also updated to a deeper matching blue.
